It might fit the outback like I got the idea from the innovations thread. This seat was put on the front hatch of a Pro Angler I believe. I'll take some picks and post it in the innovations thread tomorrow.

Nice butt man! Once again happy to see it go to good use and not just sitting there in pain !

Congrats on your p.b. flatty. Very nice fish.

Could we have a picture of the mounting bracket under the seat?
I was wondering if it would work in a Hobie also. |
|
I modified a boat seat similar to that but the one i used in my Outback was the heavy cushioned type. Even though i sat up higher i also did not notice any problems and it worked great even in rough conditions.
I had four connection points and i replaced the two screw in holders in front of the Outback seat with hobies pad eye screw ins and i clipped the front of the seat (both sides) to those. I ran a stiff stainless wire through the bottom of the seat which protruded out both sides and i bent them into loops. Those were the connection points up front. I had two in the back as well. The point is you can do it on an Outback with a little ingenuity. |
Nice seat mount and a nicer catch!

Congrats on the fish and nice mod with the seat. Looks like a great mod that will keep you on the water for hours. If you want something with more comfort they sell the padded ones for 50$ but its pretty heavy. Thanks for the info.

Congratulations on your PB! :cheers1:
I kinda dig the seat and may have to consider the same for my Stealth. QUESTION.... do you think the seat is of sturdy enough construction to pop a few (2-3) rod holders on the back? Mike |
The seat sucks, but the fish is nice...congrats
