Check out lexa 400. 25 lbs of drag. Similar size to the tranX and 1/2 the cost.

I have a Lexa 400, awesome reel. If you want a tranx brand new for $400, check out fisherman's access in Brea.

the tranx is a beast all by itself and you can throw just about anything out from super light fly-lining to heavy jigs.

I've been throwing iron with the Lexa 400. Tady C's, 45 and Salas 7x have all worked fine. I use it with a Phenix 809h. I've hauled in a lot of YT with it this summer. My son has the NaCl 50 and still uses my Lexa 400 for throwing iron.
