Can't wait for the Fred Hall Del Mar Show. Those are some good pick-ups there. The deals are at the show if you look for them, and it's not a garage sale so of course you have to buy things. However I love all the swag that some of the booths hand out.

Caffeind 03-11-2012 06:45 AM

I pick it up today :D

Badtaste2k 03-11-2012 07:46 AM

I picked up some Warbaits and 3 bottles of Uni-Butter and checked out the seminars. I've never bounce balled for Halibut so I went to one of the seminars and was going to try and get some tackle for it, but couldn't find dodgers or any heavy weights, guess i'll go to the local shop for that :)

Go to your garage, look at yours...mines the same, just better! :p ...ehem...I mean newer.

I'll unveil it when it's got a little slime on it...hopefully veeerrry soon.
The darkside feels good already tho. I ran into Kevin "The Kid" on the way out...he had a few encouraging words and agreed I made a step in the right direction. In fact the "oohs and aaawws" I got wheeling that bad boy thru the halls was pretty cool too. My kids were my body guards and were grinnin' right along with me. :D

I'm stoked.

Thanks again, Andy!

We gave away a Black Pearl 2 Day trip, all you had to do was sign our raffle sheet. I just drew the number for the winner using

http://www.random.org/

It chose #43 on my list, that is Rob Low. Congrats Rob! Rob gets his pick of any 1 of the upcoming BP trips.

xpresso2am 03-12-2012 10:22 AM

That's not as bad as walking past the OEX booth three times, stoping to talk to a few guys at that booth twice and still forgetting to enter the raffle.

Got a couple things from Iceman, a BloodyDecks t-shirt and mainly walked around mumbling "got that already", "don't need it" and "please get out of my way"

Along with the occasional, "nice rack"

Iceman 03-12-2012 01:03 PM

Fred Hall aint over! I have had several guys come by today and let them know 15% all accessories through next weekend.

James Park just brought over 2 co workers, who did not pull the trigger at the show. Quick demo on the water and another Revolution and Outback owner left the store with the Fred Hall hook up. Deals are good through next weekend.

RedSledTeam 03-12-2012 03:20 PM

Andy Rocks!

:you_rock:ABSOLUTELY! Thanks ANDY!!:you_rock::party::party::party::you_rock:

npdes 03-12-2012 03:27 PM

I picked up a Hobie Revolution 11. It was the demo model. Andy gave me a great deal. I too (like Caffiend did) experienced the proud walk through the Fred Hall show with Hobie in tow. However, I got tired of saying excuse me and got one of the security guys to let me out through the side door. Thanks Andy, I'll bring back your cart this week. Can't wait to get out on the water.

kobra 03-12-2012 08:01 PM

I got to meet the RedSledTeam, StinkyMatt, fishsouthcounty, and a couple more guys that I can't remember your names. Sorry, getting old. And DOH!!! I forgot to enter the OEX raffle. Sorry I missed you George. :( Had to leave a little early Saturday. Sorry I took your parking spot for the trailer Andy. :p Hopefully I'll get to meet some more of you at Del Mar.

Alakai64 03-12-2012 10:24 PM

Thanks, Andy!! It was great seeing you guys. I'm trying to get a few guys to go with me and we'll give you a call.
I may come by the store this weekend and take advantage of the 15% on accessories...need some Hobie trays.
See ya!!

Ditto. sorry I missed you but the wife took forevvvvvvvvvver to get dressed. We were supposed to leave at 4pm, she didn't start getting ready until 4:01. She tried on sixteen different blouses, 8 pairs of jean, six hats, the nikes, the adidas, small purse or large purse?:mad::mad:

So we finally get to the show and the first thing she see's when we walk in is the booze booth:cheers1:. Anyway, I'm really glad she enjoyed the show, for a minute I thought she would be nagging :toetap05:the whole time but that wasn't the case. The highlight was when we stopped at the Taurus and Smith and Wesson booths, she got to hold a few guns and was considering getting one:eek:. I told her I'd take her to the gun range first and then we could talk about it. Just so you know, I haven't taking her to the range and have no plans on bringing up anytime soon:D.

I also have them at OEX Mission Bay and I think Andy may have some as well?

fishsouthcounty 03-15-2012 03:51 PM

I picked up a nice bag of mixed 4 and 5 inch big hammers in a few of my favorite colors for calicos. Bought about 30 and then they threw in a few including one of those new 9 inch sledge hammers. Few packs of the War Slayer heads. Some seaguar fluoro from Meltons and some things from Baja Fish Gear. Stopped by the UNIGOOP booth to meet Bob and i think with my 4 new jars of the butter i should be good for a while. Thanks again Bob. Picked up a Promar Collapsible 702 net to make myself legal out there i guess. Not bad at 19.99 i think it was at the Turner booth. Way to many rod and reel deals i wanted to take advantage of but couldnt quite justify with my current bank balance. Hoping to save a little cash between now and the Del Mar to possibly find myself a new rod or reel or both.

I know the del mar is smaller but im assuming there are still plenty of vendors with similar discounting on their rods and reels ya?
