Anybody going put tomorrow? Weather seems ok and swell not too big who's gonna join the crowd

me and a buddy are going to pop our LJ cherries on tuesday. Last time i looked the conditions were going to be similar. We decided to not go tomorrow based on parking as well as the crowd on the water and the beach. Figure most people will be back to their daily boring lives tuesday. If you can go with us we'd be happy to have you

was down there today, get there early for easy parking. Amazing how many people are driving around @ 2pm looking for a spot.

Swell was 3-6ish and wind start blowing me back in about noon with some white caps.

Same here pretty choppy but i might try it again tomorrow

I have to pop the LJ cherry too. I was also thinking of Tuesday if I can pull it off.

I'm down Tuesday

It was way less crowded then i was expecting. Started off tight to the kelp for a few logs and calicos then moved cause stupid furbags wouldnt back off an inch. Ended up going for rockfish just to get some dinner ended up with a very nice batch

Good job out there. Better results then what i got yesterday.

Oh ya I had one of the weirdest things to date happen to me in la jolla. We were fishing in about 200 ft of water for rock fish when I'm reeling up a little starry and at color I see about a 20lb YT swoop in and take the rockfish. I threw a scoop of bait out but nothing showed up and threw a jig for a while but no takers

Dam sounds like my luck lol, so la Jolla tomorrow where's the launch if your coming from the coves?

Slob where's the launch at? I'm familiar with the coves and seal beach

Ok I think that's the right at the gas station then a left isn't there a taco shop on the corner?

Look at google maps or google earth, it's in La Jolla shores, you can't miss it.
I've been there but haven't launched from there yet but may be there tomorrow too but I'm still drinking beer.

It's right between the Sea Lodge and la jolla beach and tennis club on avenida de playa. If you mapquest sea lodge it will take you right there.

Sorry. Actually it is the La Jolla Shores Hotel, not the sea lodge(they changed the name). Good luck out there. Wish I didn't have a meeting at my daughters school.

When are you hitting the water? Im thinking about going after work...Im guessing you'll be off the water by then, lol.

What time do you plan on going out?

Im thinking of hitting the water between 3 and 4. Going to leave work at 2, gotta head home, load up, and head up to LJ.

Im shooting for between 3 and 4.

Eh, tempting. I don't think i will be able to make it though. I want to hit La Jolla for sure on Saturday- think I'll start a thread for that.

Sorry man, I tried posting several times, but it jsut wouldnt seem to go through on my phone. I wasnt able to make it out to LJ...ended up catching the evening bit at pepper park. Hopefully you managed to get out on the water today :cheers1:
