Nice fish! What did it measure 35"? That thing put on a show. Stoked for you that you didn't lose the halibut, or possibly your gaff..
Also, thanks for the ending, made me laugh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Dude, I have never seen a kayak go under the water like that without digging into the sand.
Was that the 7ft wave from county line? |
Nice Tony, for a while there I thought you might have lost the touch. How's it feel to be back in the saddle again? Another nice video, need a new game clip?
|
Nice!!
This is proof a good gaff shot is really important! |
Halibut
Nice video and nice Butta.
Thanks for sharing. |
so that's how it is done. Very nicely handled.
some of those fish have bad attitudes. As for the ending... if you haven't done that.. I guess you haven't paid your dues. |
Thanks for sharing another sweet video.

Cant get enough of kayak fishing vids!

Nice work! Doesn't look like county or Leo.
Didn't look like he expected that wave. My face tells a story right before I get slammed coming in Quote:

Nice fish. You stayed calm the entire time. Not your first rodeo.
|
Nice Butt, I guess he didn't realize he was hooked. He sure woke up when you gaffed him. Nice work Tony.

Lol! It's like a flash back of the other day for me when I had a halibut on deck with me. Only I didn't have a game clip with me. Cool video as always!
|
Thing fought like it didn't want to die lol
|
Nice fish! :you_rock: I think I would have pulled out my bait knife and started stabbing at that point... and probably punctured my hull (or myself) in the process.
That must have been a pretty big wave on your stern to make your kayak submarine like that. |
EPIC

Momo fish, he probabally wears socks with water shoes like I have too, diabetes is tough on the feet so we need to keep them protected. Cuts and sores do not heal well, thats what happened to a lot of people in wheel chairs. OUCH. |
Bob, that's a good reason. I just bought water socks for that same reason. They roll up to your knees and protect against sun and water. Tried them on Sunday and loved them. Will buy a second pair now.
