New Trident 15 rigging

So I recently bought a new old stock OK t15 from oex. Now its time to rig her up so far this is what I've done...
Dry storage/rod holder vittles tank. way better then a milk crate, ice chest behind seat clipped in. Also did a water bottle holder on the rod pod...here are some pictures. My goal for this yak is never drilling into the kayak for mods. I want to keep everything module http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...ea8a502f1a.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...1a04a15559.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...5313ae3829.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...de68533339.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...0e6a69cfeb.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...89c0184d60.jpg
Iv yet to take her out on her maiden voyage but hopefully this weekend it will happen :D
Happy yakin

Looking good! My Trident looks the same, minus the cooler (I have an orange Plano box). The only holes I drilled were for the ram mount, which is in the sonar shield.. I use a Mad Frog Liberator that holds the transducer in the water.. Nothing is permanently installed on my boat.. Happy rigging!

yak-fishing-socal 11-03-2014 05:23 PM

I'll have to look into the mad frog liberator...hopefully my wife and kid get me a fish finder for Christmas...

Dennis 11-03-2014 05:33 PM

I got the liberator a couple of years back, when there was not much out there. Now a days there are many options..

yak-fishing-socal 11-03-2014 05:36 PM

Yea ram is kinda pricey on there transducer arm I could probably make one cheaper

Iceman 11-03-2014 06:00 PM

Nice, likely the last one I will ever sell! get er wet and get er bloody! :D

yak-fishing-socal 11-03-2014 06:19 PM

@andy thanks and I hope you don't mind me checking out your kraken while I was there that thing is nice...I'll definitely be back for some more hardware rigging..y'all have this http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...33d40595d6.jpg Scotty 272 swivel fishfinder mount

Love the wheels

yak-fishing-socal 11-03-2014 06:37 PM

Lol I knew someone was going to say something about my purple power wheels wheels but hey the work great on the sand and I didn't have to pay a $100 for wheelies

alanw 11-03-2014 06:48 PM

Looks good but don't worry about drilling a few holes, especially for standard items like FF mounts and Scotty/Ram mounts. Those guys took a perfectly good yak hull and drilled 100 holes in it before you got it.

FISH11 11-03-2014 07:04 PM

Looks good, except for the wheels. Nothing, a can of black spray paint won't fix. But where is your beer can holder?

yak-fishing-socal 11-03-2014 07:11 PM

@fish11 hahaha this is my next item on the list I love the fact that the rod pod is plug and play when you need it..http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...f3806cfc15.jpg

FISH11 11-03-2014 07:16 PM

SWEET!

yak-fishing-socal 11-06-2014 07:50 AM

OK one last rigging I did to the 15,I'm done until I get my depth sounder http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...b9f019bc9a.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...ce723a3bf5.jpg
I know I might not be able to use the ice chest with this set up but I can take it off any time...

i love my trident 15

buddha 11-06-2014 12:44 PM

What kind of bag/cooler is that behind the seat? It seems to fit nicely. I have a Trident 11 but I think my area behind the seat is slightly narrower.

yak-fishing-socal 11-06-2014 01:03 PM

It's a Coleman that I picked up at Marshall's for like 12 bucks

Just got this looks like it will be super handy

yak-fishing-socal 11-12-2014 05:46 PM

So aftet my maiden voyage and I realized I needed a little more cushion underneath the seat so I found an old life vest cut it up into the shape of my ocean kayak seat and shoved it underneath it.works good also added a cutting board to the rod pod her are some picshttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...d8c000662b.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...4bb34cda10.jpg oh and on that Scotty cup holder it was way too big to hold a beer so I put some from around the top of it and now it won't bounce aroundhttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...e9b945ebcb.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...ec8e0247c3.jpg

yak-fishing-socal 11-12-2014 05:50 PM

Oh yah and updated my wheels to a bigger size..even though my other ones worked good these should be great..oh and there not purple ;)http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...9fa3d8e3dc.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...6f5240f253.jpg happy yaking

yak-fishing-socal 11-14-2014 03:47 PM

So I've come to realize that I can't take my old tackle bag with me on my t15 so I found something that works will for me..I think its a parts organization thing picked it up for 5bucks and put thine padding on the bottom on the inside and out..also put all my hooks and swivels and jig heads into pill containers..I find it Save's way more time when all the stuff is labeled and separated. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...324a7c65cc.jpg its the perfect size and fits inside the rod pod and wedges nicely to the side..also velcro a Plano to the other side that has all my swimbaits ready to gohttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...82c16639a0.jpghttp://[IMG]http://tapatalk.imagesha...e16cdfc5b1.jpg
One more thing I've come to miss from my stealth 12 was the live bait hatch in the middle of my legs so I made a bait tube hope it can keep a couple alive for awhilehttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...dec19a9066.jpg
The bait tube was made from a welders rod holder I picked up from harbor freight for 3.99 i was going to make one with abs but after pricing it all up would have been close to 30 bucks
