Malibu Kayaks Stealth 14
http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall...0/IMG_1176.JPG
If ya like the X Factor you will love the Stealth 14. The low profile gator hatch is going to open to the hull. http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall...0/IMG_1173.JPG A built in livewell/bait tank can be plumbed through hull accessible side hatch. I also was able to stow a bass rod through this hatch. The opposite side hatch is enclosed for stowing the lil stuff..........humidor sounds good to me. http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall...0/IMG_1172.JPG This looks like it could work 12 volt free "panga style" for a few baits. The 2 black tabs forward on the tank can be perforated to run out the scupper holes . http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall...0/IMG_1179.JPG The built in livewell drain is threaded and can be sealed for dry storage. The same threaded scupper holes are in the seat well for a completely dry ride in flat water. The oval center hatch also sports a small clear 4 inch hatch to toss in baits or have one at the ready. http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall...0/IMG_1183.JPG http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall...0/IMG_1225.JPG The rear hatch has been raised up about an inch for heavy loads and some newly design tank well recesses keep a greater variety of things in place. Supposed to be available for purchase VERY soon. http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall...0/IMG_1236.JPG |
Nice Andy. I think i just might have to get myself one...
|
you had me at threaded scupper holes.
|
There is alot going on in those pics. Gonna have to come check one out...
|
What are the dimensions of the Stealth 14? It looks like a wide body!
|
damn, that built in bait tank is pretty cool. I didnt know about that one.
does it perform like the X-factor? (speed, stability, tracking etc.) |
It lloks beautiful but I gotta tell ya. With the led up on that
livewell it looks like a toilet. Don't leave it un attended on the beach. No telling what you'll find in there. |
Andy
Do you still have that at the shop and is it available to take for a test ride? |
That livewell is a great idea! They should make a mesh vent for that (I'm thinking hollow threaded pass-thru with a domed wire mesh top) to keep baits from getting sucked against it. Seems like a couple pieces could make a healthy home in there - without the electric bilge pump. Possibly an aftermarket macerator for those coffee induced mornings as well? "Sorry candy macks, you gotta make way for a lunker brown trout." :leaving:
Those side hatches/foot pads are an awesome idea too. Very innovative! |
Doug, it was supposed to go back to the factory yesterday, but I still have it. Call me if you are coming this way and see if it is still here.

I like the well thought out, fishing oriented cock pit. When are they going to get peddles?

COOL! The X-14 Looks awesome and very functional! What a tough choice people are gonna have with all the killer new boats we have:luxhello:. I'll put pics up of the new Tarpon's soon also.

With the livewell right between your legs, do your danglies stay dry? If it's wet, that'll still make a great tackle box. Nice!
|
That bait tank looks great and it's about time too. What are the diameter and depth of that thing? Volume. Thanks, Mike
