I'll be there, hopefully the AC works a little better that day.

Matt 08-05-2009 07:46 AM

I am in Chris!!!!

tylerdurden 08-05-2009 08:08 AM

I'm there.

Holy Mackerel 08-05-2009 08:13 AM

BWE members, this is going to be the anti-fishing members turf, we need to show up. There will be a sea of blue shirts, I suspect, they will drag their teen kids, like they did at the SD meeting. Most of which probably could care less about the MLPA, and are more interested in texting, and their Ipods was my observation.

Please rally!

Let's follow Maggie's lead and wear Green, try and drown them out, we are Conservationists too.

Matt 08-05-2009 08:43 AM

Anybody got a kid we can borrow???:biggrinjester:

so cal shaggy 08-05-2009 01:39 PM

we are there

You can add mine and Erika's name to any meeting list, we are fully cimmitted to every meeting. There will always be one of us there.

gabe 08-05-2009 01:53 PM

Gabe

rastrev 08-05-2009 01:57 PM

I still have a few sick days i need to burn before the end of the year, count me in.

kurt 08-05-2009 03:59 PM

I'll be there.

Matt 08-05-2009 04:16 PM

Hey Chris what times are the meetings????

SeaDog 08-05-2009 04:48 PM

I'm in, and have a couple seats if anybody needs to carpool from the OC. Just be warned I've been told my car smells like fish.

JrBasser 08-05-2009 05:59 PM

I haven't been able to get to any of the meetings, but would love to attend for the final blow. There will actually be very few teenagers unless the conservatists plan on pulling their kids from school that day. I am willing to skip the day if I can catch a ride!

Fallon? Siebler? Anyone else near east county?

CurtyL 08-05-2009 08:02 PM

I'm there. Maybe I'll even talk this time.

tylerdurden 08-05-2009 08:43 PM

the meetings themselves will go all day. We don't find out about public comment time until ~10 days before hand. You know, when it's too late to give your work 2 weeks notice about time off .

dgax65 08-05-2009 09:20 PM

I'll be there.

Matt 08-06-2009 05:02 AM

Yea Jr. asser you can ride with me! Worst case scenario we can just tie you to the racks!:D

JrBasser 08-07-2009 03:03 PM

much respect ;)

kurt 08-09-2009 03:58 PM

Bump.

so cal shaggy 08-11-2009 01:01 PM

BUMP!!! We need to fill this meeting and the next upcoming meetings in Oct.

Tman 08-12-2009 09:59 AM

Again???? :D

Depending on the time to speak, he is out of school around 2:30, prob not early enough to still make the drive...

I should be able to make it though.

i'm going.

habanero 08-13-2009 07:05 AM

I'm in!
I was thinking maybe we should wear blue shirts as well in order to neutralize? :biggrinjester:

tylerdurden 08-13-2009 05:13 PM

Bump :jig:

RSG meeting in September is their last one we can comment on.

BRTF meeting October 20-22 is the last BRTF meeting. This is where they decide which map they like the best, or they combine maps to make the one they like the best.

December 10th the F&G commission approves a final map of closures. It will most likely be the one the BRTF likes the best.

Only 3 more meetings guys, then this is all over.

Corey 08-14-2009 05:05 PM

I'll be there for sure.

Willy 08-15-2009 09:22 AM

I thought having matching shirts made a strong impact at the previous meetings when we all wore black.

Black isn't a good choice for obvious reasons.

Let's all agree on a color to wear to we can visually show our solidarity.

The facists are wearing blue now?

Do we wear red? Green? Firetiger?

Willy

tylerdurden 08-15-2009 01:29 PM

bump again guys.

We are making a positive difference as kayak fishermen. Lets keep it up.

The only way we have been able to make a difference is by showing up. Why stop now. Only 3 more meetings.

Holy Mackerel 08-18-2009 01:44 PM

Bump, let's not drop the ball.

September 10th , 2009

September 10: Meeting

If someone can get there on Sept 9th, there is no public comment, but can do some intel on what the maps will be looking like, that would be helpful. Send me a PM.

1 of 2 meetings left!

buttchaser 08-18-2009 01:58 PM

See ya there ,

Pm sent Chris.....

Holy Mackerel 08-23-2009 01:36 PM

weekly bump! :)

comrad_zeelaagee 08-24-2009 11:55 AM

i requested the day off. i'm as good as there.

tylerdurden 08-25-2009 05:54 PM

Bump again guys.

It is 2 weeks and a couple days away. Last chance to get those vacation requests in. I hate spending my vacation days attending bs like this, but if I don't do it now, I won't be able to take vacation days to fish local after this year.

We need guys that can speak in a coherent and logical manner, without losing their cool. If not, please cede your time to someone who shares your views and can follow the rules. It is just as important as speaking yourself.

I agree, losing your cool is counterproductive to everyone's efforts. Nothing wrong with speaking with some passion, but be respectful about it.. as most guys were at the last meeting.

Otherwise.. I may need to ride up with someone that day. I live in Mission Valley area/ Allied Gardens, anyone near by going?

tylerdurden 08-26-2009 08:33 AM

Bump

We can arrange carpools on this thread. If you need a ride post up. Also there should be one on BD.

September 9th and 10th the stakeholders meet to get final maps

October 20-22 the BRTF meets to combine the maps to come up with their favorite.

December 10th the DFG commision makes their FINAL decision and it's all over.

That's it. It's almsot over. Now is the time to be even more involved, not rest on the efforts you and others have already made.

The Power Point Presentations are very effective, I hope to see more of them.
Perhaps from the Spearo Perspective as well.
-Those guys face the same doom as us, but have certain unique needs.

It all comes down to leaving our safe and productive area open and accessible.

Holy Mackerel 08-27-2009 08:29 AM

The same 4 people should not be continually bumping this thread!! Let's see some people bump this thread with their support, and committment to attend this meeting!!!!

so cal shaggy 08-27-2009 06:00 PM

Bumpity bump bump bump.

kurt 08-27-2009 06:39 PM

Already got the day off. Anyone know when the public comment is?

tylerdurden 08-28-2009 08:21 AM

Don't know what time public comment is yet. ~10 days before hand we should know. I'll post up as soon as I find out.
