My DIY Cart
Just thought I would post some pic's of my build. The wheels articulate and actually work as suspension. It glides over the sand too...
I have 4 more wheels if anyone is interested in them... http://flightrisk.smugmug.com/Other/.../IMG0611-M.jpg http://flightrisk.smugmug.com/Other/.../IMG0612-M.jpg http://flightrisk.smugmug.com/Other/.../IMG0615-M.jpg http://flightrisk.smugmug.com/Other/.../IMG0617-M.jpg |
Did you use all thread thru the abs? i made something similar for a friends canoe, but used aluminum tubing for the axles, and hitch pins to hold the wheels in place. nice build.

What kind of wheels are those? THey look like they are off of a toy truck or something like that.

Thanks. I used all thread, I wanted options until I was sure of build, then will probably switch. |

They are just a hallow 8" wheel that was over produced for a cooler sales company I found. |

Doesn't 4 wheels make it harder to turn? Why didn't you just use 2 wheels, that will leave enough room to drop in a 5 gallon bait bucket too.

:( Damn't people ! Don't you realize that you are driving up the cost of milk ?

looks like it would be fun to put a motor on and remote control that thing down the beach.

nice job, looks clean, I would try it down the hill....lol
actually now that I look at it, that would be sweet for the surf fishing trips, just invert the rod holders, great idea |

P.S. The rod holders work either way, you just have to face the reel out bound and the axle flips real fast. |
