Went out yesterday & fished the '401'. :reel:
Turd rollers, Checkers & and some interesting double rainbows++ below?..
Lots of life..Lots of fin bait, tons o' smelt top column adjacent to the kelp line today. perfect little ones..
oh yea...and lots of whales...lots..
If for some reason you want to get up close and personal with a giant grey school bus, this is the week.
Guaranteed encounters. Be safe..

I thought you couldn't fish for whales in the new reserve anymore. ;)

Whales are C&R only now under the MPA...unless you have a pink sticker from up here in Malibu...
