Bass Pro Baitcast reel $49.88
|
Save your money and get up there when they open up this Saturday. I have a couple of these reels and they are nice for the money.

Very smooth. I got one a couple months ago. They had them on sale for about 45 bucks.
I use it as a lighter line reel for trolling trout. |
Is this a good reel? Im looking at the abu garcia black max 2 right now which is in the same price range

Keep saving and get the revo inshore. You won't regret it. |

I was also looking into the Abu garcia black max, but if you're going to spend ~$60 on a black max, you mind as well save a bit more for a used curado 200 series ($90) on CL..

might as well..

Revo inshore and Orra inshore both have a corrosion resistant coating and are made for saltwater use. Very smooth and will cast a country mile. You get what you pay for. |
If you were to go spend a lot on just one reel, then here it is...
I've thrown all these reels, and when it comes to size, casting distance, speed and drag strength, hands down goes to the new Okuma Cedros Cj 273. This thing is sick. I hated okuma baitcasts till now. I've always been a Shimano guy. I've owned/or own a few Quantum's, Abu's, and a cpl different bass pro's. Go check one of these things out. And unlike everyone else, they have a super deep spool for as tiny as they are. They are almost the size of the Shimano Curado 50E and hold about as much line as the 300. There is no other reel this small with as much line capacity as thing, nothing. But I still love my Shimano's, just changed out my bearing to ceramic and no longer have to worry about corrosion and also it cast farther and 500x smoother on both my Curado's and Chronarch |
