Garmin GPS/MAP 540s Question?

Need a little advise / input?

So I have this Garmin GPS/Map 540s as a backup on my skiff. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work if I installed it on a kayak? Dose anyone have any experience (positive or negative) with this unit? I see RAM makes a rail mount for it that might fit the rail on the PA?

Here's a link to the specs:

Thanks,

Chris

I have a 541s on mine...no problem! You just have to watch out for corrosion, just like any other fish finder.

Good to know, any idea's for a compatible transducer?

Thanks!

I think you can pretty much install any FF you want, however some of those really huge ones probably would not be practical. As long as you have a power supply and a place to put the transducer I don't see why you couldn't.
