Necesito Ayuda!!! Rapido!!!

I have a small plastic case/wallet where I keep all of my hooks & swivel. Today while fishing I didn't realize I had dropped it in my drivewell and it got filled with saltwater, as soon I noticed I emptied the salt water and got my bottle of fresh water and rinsed everything. Is there anything else that I can/should do to pretty rust?

Rinse with freshwater, Dry, Repeat. That's the method that was always taught to me by Granddad! That being said, Rust still seems to always win the battle with me.

Good luck! :cheers1:

rust is not pretty...baby powder or similar. or some say wd40 catches fish.

1. fresh water
2. baby powder
3. lube oil
4. air dry

If your worried about the hooks rusting, spray some wd on em' they'll be a little oily but they wont rust! I remember some old timers i used to fish with would always put a piece of chalk in with their hooks....i guess it was to absorb moisture...give it a try!

Separate the different types of metals while they are wet.

I only take a few of everything with me vs. the whole lot of everything.

The advantage: if it does get wet not too big of a deal. Only a few things get rusty. I can't remember when I've used more than 4-5 hooks and couple of swivels during one paddle.

The disadvantage: once in a while I'll be out and realize I forgot something.

Get a waterproof box There is a company called "plano" that makes some small ones for a good price. :D

I notice you also have a screw loose...but we already knew that. :D

I took Dorado's advise and threw a whole bunch of baby powder in the wallet........now my work table looks like the Sinaloa Drug Cartel was here making some of that special powder. I wonder what would happen if I tried crossing the border with this little case in my tackle box:rolleyes::luxhello::D

12" x 72" for $9? Sounds to good to be true. Do you already use it?
