Recommendation on new fishfinder combo
 

I am sick and tired of my black and white HB combo.(more like greyscale combo)

I'll sell you my cuda for $300, thats a 50% savings of what your willing to spend!

or you could go buy a Garmin echo 300c

With a budget of $600 I don't expect Taco to settle at a 300c but it is a nice FF for the coin

Combo is the way to go.

I already have a combo unit, and GPS and FF is the way to go. Im just tired of the greyscale.

Look its a fish near the bottom, i can tell is 1 shade less grey then the rest. :rolleyes:

I just upgraded to a lowrance elite 4x DSI, I havnt tried it out yet but love what I see on YouTube and the results look good the only down fall would be that the transducer must be in the water (scupper mount) but besides that it looks great and well under your budget

I have herd word now you can do a wet mount in the hull of your kayak and the DSI will work just as good as having it directly in the water?
Now I haven't herd to much about it but still herd from several people that you do not have to have it in water.

I'm waiting till the Humminbird 360 is at a reasonable price...
oh and when Andy can install one that doubles as a GoPro mount :D

Holy cow Frank where you been brotha....
IMHO HB is a great product but I would think about Lowrance or Garmin...
due to the cabling and connections are more water tight less corrosion,
