That must be quite a workout to use with a 13" (35cm) paddle.

Not aluminum, probably plastic or carbon fibre, has a little ribbed texture. I got it last year at West Marine for around $120 as I recall if anybody wanted to check them out.

Looks like it, they have different models though. Price reduced? dunno, if so, by the time you add sales tax, their price would be around $106. I am still asking only $60.
