Cold Weather Question
 

I've been getting my cold weather gear together (waders, hat, and layers) but am not sure of the best way to keep my hands warm and working.
What do you guys think from your experience otw in the winter is the best way?

PS. Any other ideas on staying warm out there will be greatly appreciated.

neoprene gloves, with the fingers cut off. i never had a problem with my hands getting cold on the kayak. i never went at night in the winter either though. but i remember a couple times of night time surf fishing and i was stiff for 30mins after getting in the car.

I used to have (wish I knew where they went) polar fleece gloves with the fingers cut off. They worked well.

I take a couple of terry-cloth towels with me. I keep them dry in dry-bag. As my hands get wet I dry them with the towel. As the towel gets too wet, I use IT for wiping down the kayak and get another dry towel to keep my hands dry. A crazy cycle, but I find dry hands are less cold than wet hands.

Dont forgt your BWE Buffs. Those things are great for keep the ears warm. Also, I find a bini is a must have when it's cold.

Beanie= a knit cap that covers the top of the head and can be used to also cover the ears.

Thanks everyone for the info. I found a pair of neoprene dive gloves and cut the thumb, index, and middle fingers off. I'll see how they work.
I'm a real pussy when it comes to being cold. Lol
