It was a fairly slow day in DP for us today. At least the weather was great, got a nice sun burn:mad:

I ended up landing 2 small legals, kept one. Also 5 assorted bycatch.

Here's the president!
I had a holiday party to attend in Huntington Beach on Saturday night. Wanting to fish with Team Sewer, and knowing that the party would run late (and that the cocktails would be flowing), I decided to hook up my toy hauler trailer (kayak inside) so that I wouldn't be DUI, but still fish Sunday with the boys. Thought about a hotel, but didn't want to leave the PA exposed in some random parking lot.
Anyways, up at 0400, I left HB at 0430, to DP by 0530, and on the water by 0600. Within 5 minutes of our launch time, my HDS5 takes a dump.
I did buy the extended warranty from WM, so hopefully 3rd times a charm.

Here's the dinger, I had another party here in SD at 1pm, so I let the boys go slay 'em in the distance, knowing that I had to be off the water by 11 anyways. I fished close to the launch for a bit, with not even a nibble.

Perhaps that's too much crammed in too short a duration, but such is the life of a president! I also knew that the Lollipop Guild was being represented by my trusty assistant, armed with an arsenal of sugar to reward the gifted.
It was great to meet everyone, and get a little time on the water.

Beware of strange man that approach you in a dark parking lot and offer candy.....

all that commotion about slick surfaces, small lollipops and the polish express had me thinking something else besides fishing was taking place. :D

way to get out there. we had our drift set up to intercept you guys but the current had other plans about half way there. We also got into that assorted by catch. an evening session is in order.

My truck was loaded and ready to go but after staying up to 3am getting some female tacos ... I wasn't going to make it out.. had to go for the sure thing sorry guys it wont happen again on a saturday night anyways...

I think you forgot something at the end of your title Jorge. Something about LESS is more :biggrinjester:. Only had a few hours to spare or I would have joined you guys down there. Fished 3 hours at the watering hole for 3 Halibut and 5 or 6 Brown rockfish in the 2 - 4 pound range. Kept 1 Halibut (12#s) and released one about the same and everything else.

I wanted to join you guys as well...but i had some downrigger reasearch to complete. Why the heck were you guys holding hands?:rolleyes:
