So Many Kayaks and so much info, I"m sooooooo confused. Can anybody
point me in the right direction. I am looking to purchase a kayak but I don't know which is the best. I don't care about price. I don't want to be
taken advantage of but I want stabiltiy, comfort and I would like to be as
dry as possible. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!

I can only tell you that it such a personal preference, that the best thing to do
is to go to a shop where you can test them out. Try as many different ones as possible.

First suggestion: go to the Fred Hall show in Del Mar (starting this coming Wednesday).
They should have a whole array of different shapes and sizes.

2nd: Define your needs. Do you want to fish, carry dive gear, go in the ocean, bay, river?

3rd: Look at what others have. It may help you realize that what you think you
need, you really don't and what you didn't think of; you really need.

You said you wanted confort, stability, and to stay dry as possible...Ill tell you out of the three differnet brands we have ...The Malibu X-factor has all three of those you mentioned and has a pretty quik desing compared to other kayaks with similar features, capacity and storage....Overall great yak for what you mentioned...The other yaks I have are fast and more narrow...fun good yaks but not as good as for what you mentioned...My opinion..

The Malibu extreme is also worth a close look, considering what you want.

My Malibu eX gives me comfort, stability and is relatively dry.

Reality check on the last part – you’re sitting a few inches above the water. You WILL get wet with some wind chop or while going through any meaningful surf.

Just like women, different folks like different yaks. Trying different models from various yak manufacturers is the best advice you can get…

I like my eX just like I like my ol’ lady. The reason I was sold on eXtreme is the huge front hatch. I wanted to make sure I can easily stash my three 7ft rods and one 8 ft jig stick on a safe place while getting to know the surf zone. To this day, I love my “pack it in” piece of mind. Funny thing - I always tell my wife it is her front hatch what got my attention 1st. lol

Sort out what’s important to you and that will help you narrow down the selection list.

I have the eXtreme, myself. Great storage as Lamb mentioned with a decent design.
Faster than the Xfactor and not as high profile (translating to less wind drift).

I'm hoping to find a nice deal on another new eXtreme at Fred Hall...I will definitely
be stopping by the OEX booth. I've got my shopping list ready.
