License
Go to Walmart, most shops will make u pay the non residency. But my brother inlaw is from Texas. And he was able to get the regular price for his 1yr. It also depends on the person who sells it to u.

You are considered a resident because of orders saying you have to be here just have your license with military id most places around here wont wven ask because thwy are so used to military.

When I was stationed at Pendleton I always bought my license on base. There was no "?" then. Not sure where you're stationed, but if it is Pendleton then go to the four seasons store and pick it up. Once you get one, it will always pop up in yrs to come as military res

from CA.dfg/gov
From page three of the Ca. DFG Handbook. Seems pretty straight forward,
clerks need to prove you wrong. Print this and take it with you. Residency A resident is defined as: • any person who has resided continuously in California for six months or more immediately before the date of application for a license, or • any person on active military duty with the armed forces of the United States, or an auxiliary branch, or • a Job Corps enrollee (FGC, Section 65). Identification Required for License Purchase (CCR T-14, Section 700.4) Any person applying for any license, tag, permit, reservation or other entitlement issued via the ALDS shall provide valid identification. Acceptable forms of identification include: (1) Any license document or GO ID number previously issued via ALDS (2) A valid driver’s license or identification card issued to him or her by the Department of Motor Vehicles or by the entity issuing driver’s licenses from the licensee’s state of domicile (3) U.S. Birth Certificate (4) U.S. Certificate or Report of Birth Abroad (5) A Tribal ldentification Card, issued by a sovereign tribal nation (6) Birth Certificate or passport issued from a US Territory (7) U.S. Passport (8) U.S. Military ldentification (9) Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship, (10) A foreign government-issued photo identification Applicants less than 18 years of age may provide any form of identification described above, or a parent or legal guardian’s identification as described above. |

If you are stationed here, you are a resident. Go to any of the shops and tell them you are a resident. All my buddies got there's for a good price.

Asking for a discount on your fishing license is like asking the DMV for a discount on your registration fees.....it ain't going to happen.
If your concern is whether or not a tackle shop or retail store will recognize your residency just go on the DFG website and fill out the application there, you can print a temporary until the original comes in the mail. |
I'm in the gun club and I didn't have to pay the $100 + fee. Just show them your cac and your state Id and your good. The sporting goods in the mcx should help you out or you can contact your rec center for more info. If you need more info your local bait and tackle has info posted on the wall.
