Please post up anything you find. I've been looking around and experimenting with poor results so far.
The best alternative so far was to cut up a boat dock bumper and glue that on. I need to use a better adhesive. Please share. |
Tony(Fulrac) has these and I run them as well. More of a sacrificial piece of plastic rather than all out protection. I drug my kayak with the full weight on the rear keel of my kayak at the DP boat ramp and it tore a hole through the material. It was fine underneath. I ended up sacrificing a piece from the middle of the hull to replace the torn stuff in the back by heat gunning and removing.
For your typical sand on beach landings it should work well. http://www.keeleazy.com/ |
Awesome! Thanks!!!

My Keeleazy sample strip finally wore a hole thru it after a long low tide drag. I hit it with a heat gun to soften up the adhesive and flipped it around. After a few more months it's starting to wear a hole again.
Not bad. Consider it a wear and tear item. |
you can use cheapo mountain bike tires cut them and glue them on the keel with marine goop or some similar adhesive.

My Cuda 14 has a keel guard in the stern. You could always get a JK :D
