VHF Channels

Are there any particular vhf channels BWE members monitor when out fishing?
Also how many of you carry a spare paddle with you?

Lollipop Guild rolls on Ch. 68 in LJ most of the time.

I think I read a few posts here mentioning ch 71 in dana point. And for a spare paddle I carry one of those collapsable paddles inside my yak.
