SD big bay 2/16/14
 

After buying a house, and settling in , I haven 't wet a line since December 28th. Not like I'm keeping count. Anyways, with Presidents weekend coming up, I got a hall pass from the wife. Looking to hit the big bay for the usual suspects. Will probably hit the bait barge early and see what happens. Anyone interested in joining me?

You will be fighting the tide anytime before 9:30 am if going to the bait barge/ jetty and return tide( incoming) is after 4:00pm

Buddy and I will be out of tidelands 2/16. Good luck out there. I caught a beefy sand bass out there last week.

I went today. Calm and then very windy.

Great exercise to paddle against the current and a ripping wind.

One small halibut caught on live anchovy.

Oh and it was a super nice day out and the boat traffic made for awesome washing machine conditions.

My six year old was smart to want to stay home.

I'm thinking about hitting the big bay around 12pm, go out with the tide, get some live bait and then head in before dark with incoming tide...

Super wind early. Lots of boat traffic. Fought the out going tide coming in. Ughh. No fish to show but I would do it all over again!
