shipping costs of a kayak?

Im in Okinawa Japan right now. will be here for about 3 more years, maybe more. I REALLY want a Hobie to fish out of. I had to sell my PA before coming here due to the moving company charging a ridiculous amount to ship it.

I can get Malibu and OK yaks here. not the ones I want but they are available.

Anyone familiar with shipping costs of a PA to stateside addresses vs. FPO/AP addresses? can I pick it up at the post office or does it have to be shipped to port? which would be Naha port, Okinawa, Jp.

figures. I looked up FPO shipping and I cant even ship a yak though it so it has to be commercial.

Id be fine with another X factor, but they only have X-13's and smaller. im 250, plus all the gear and sustainment I pack along I need a bigger boat. :D

I don't remember the details, but I had a friend who split half a shipping container with someone online to reduce the costs of retail products he was selling. There are a lot of container shipments going to and from the USA and Japan, and a lot have tons of room left in them, like car shipments etc. Checkout online who has a lot of traffic, commercial, and see if they could toss a PA or Revo in there for a decent price.
