I may join you. I have been thinking about fishing the harbor though ... bass and butt. Kind of burned out on Rockfish. I may fish around the harbor till you get there. Do you have a radio? If so you can reach me on channel 68.

How far are the rock fish grounds at Newport?

Seems like a about a mile out side the end of the jetty. I could be totally off but I a sure after a few hours of moving around looking for fish you are for sure well over a couple of miles by days end.

i'll be out there as well. Will launch around 6:30 7 am from kids beach as well...
