Is the basic difference between the Mark 4 and Elite 4 mono vs color?

Do these come already matched with a transducer or do we have to choose transducers separately?

Trying to figure out what the differences are between everything that is being offered is confusing.

I simply want a good and functional fish finder with GPS that is current and not obsolete.

I bought a used Hobie Outback that came with a Lowrance X50 DS. Other than the benefits of GPS, what other functionally important changes been made since this X50 from 2007?
