Yellowtail Gift
 

Gary G/J hooked me up with a yellowtail today. Think he felt I needed a bit of encouragement after probably watching me struggle with this mornings launch. Left me paddle at home so had to use my mirage drive pedal system to get past the ankle slappers. For the life of me, could not get into deep enough water to be able to work the pedals. Should have been a good laugh for the guys on the beach watching me try and try again. Finally inspected the drive system and sure enough, backwards. Fixed the problem and off I went......pretty pooped out but going for it anyways. Chatted with Gary on the way out and he seemed like I really nice guy. Later in the morning, I see someone hooked up and it was Gary. Great fish......probably 25 plus for sure. Before I could get out my congratulations, Gary asked me if I would like to take this one home since I had shared with him how much I enjoy eating fish. Just got everything cleaned up and the fillets are in the fridg. Thanks again Gary and I am sure you will be rewarded in the future. Look forward to fishing with you thru the season.
