Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Every year there is a kid’s derby on the Shelter Island pier in San Diego.
This year is on Saturday, August 8<SUP>th</SUP>. From 7:00 AM to around 2:00 PM.<O:p></O:p>
The organizers provide everything, including delicious fish taco for the kids. The idea is to get the kids off of electronic gadgets and in to fresh air and fishing.<O:p></O:p>

They need help with setup; bait cutting and judging the derby. Soft drinks and delicious fish tacos provided by Tommy Gomez of Catalina Seafood Co.<O:p></O:p>

Parking is free and after the derby, you can fish the pier if you like.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
I plan to go to SD on Friday to get on a ¾ boat. Later to go to the pier and cut bait to make bait bags for next day.<O:p></O:p>
On Saturday I will be there to help out, and maybe do little fishing before heading back to LA.<O:p></O:p>
