What are these threaded holes for?
Hey everyone,
I recently bought a used Malibu Pro 2 Tandem (F&D) and it has two sets of two threaded holes toward the back of the seat wells. The seats sits right over them, so I'm not sure what would possible go in place. Maybe some sort of seat base? http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...psgp8iudaj.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...pslharf6v1.jpg There's also one threaded hole next to the rearmost flush mount for holders. I think those might be for an optional trolling motor mount. http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...psx3qxb9wm.jpg Any Malibu Kayak Owners know what these are? Best regards, Dave |
I think they are for attracting plastic to the area when molding to strengthen it.

Oh weird; I hadn't expected that answer!

Check their website. I think they may be used for the Malibu designed motor mount

That's for sure what the rearmost holes are for, but that doesn't explain the seat holes. I'm even noticing in the above pic that those threaded holes aren't present. |
