NOT fishing in the JAL tournament???

The Southern California Chapter of HEROES ON THE WATER is looking for a few more volunteers to help cook lunch at the James Lebowitz Memorial tournament on September 12th.

This is a good and easy way to help out 2 great causes at once while enjoying the tournament day.

Duties will include :
Helping unload and set up the gas grills
Helping with the cooking of chicken or fish
Helping break down and loading the grills after cooking is completed
Helping with anything else that needs to be done to prepare for lunch

Please let me know if you would like to volunteer.

Sorry, but by the time your done fishing, the event will have ended two weeks earlier.

I will be on the water shooting, my wife said she would help. What time do you want her at the park?

I will be at the park 10am, we have a reservation/permit for the gazebo, so we don't need to get there super early and stake our claim. Easy set up should have chicken on the grill by 11.45, serving starts at noon-2, raffle and awards.

Can we play loud music at 4am and rev our cars loudly to announce to the world we have arrived?!???

Given the big turn out, let's all be mindful of the hotel guest, rental shops and other beach goers.. Hate for anything to go wrong given the large turnout expected on Saturday and especially coming back in..

And for the love of God, please try not to run over anymore sharks!!

Hi everyone.

Thanks for the offers of support for this Saturday's JAL tournament.

As I posted previously, the Southern California Chapter of HEROES ON THE WATER is more than happy to take over the the grilling duty to serve all of the JAL tournament participants.
The number of people who volunteered ensure that this task is going to be pretty easy and go off smoothly.

First thing, is to stop by the HOW canopy and after that
we will be following Andy's direction and schedule for the day which starts with setting up the grills at 10am.

While our priority is the food, we will also make ourselves available for any last minute help that Andy requests.

This is going to be a fun day!

I'm going park on LA Jolla Shores Drive and Avenida de la Playa and wheel my kayak all the way down to the waters edge while these guys trail me.
