Calling OEX help line.
Help please.
I know these inserts are for installing rudder system. http://i444.photobucket.com/albums/q...s/DSCN5220.jpg What it is this? I did not want to force it. Does it unscrew? Or needs a hard pull? http://i444.photobucket.com/albums/q...s/DSCN5219.jpg http://i444.photobucket.com/albums/q...s/DSCN5221.jpg It is located on the stern. Thanks for your help. |
Those are rivets. Just drill em out.

Unless you were talking about the black plastic cap. Looks like a plug of some sort that should unscrew. I would try to put a pair of pliers on it and turn.
|
It's a drain plug so you can drain any water that may leak into the hull, just unscrew it.

Thank you for the replies.
Drain plug makes sense. I think I will leave it alone. Before posting, I had tried to turn it with hand, but it did not move. Plastic can get very brittle when it is old and it has been sitting in sun. I have angled the kayak forward and used a sponge that I keep in the kayak to remove any water in the past. |

Again Thanks for the replies.
It is a sit on top kayak. I think I will leave it alone. |
