Lowrance Elite-5 CHIRP help
I recently bought the Elite-5 CHIRP and having trouble detecting fishes at depth more than 180 feet. It seems to detect fishes find in shallower water. I mean I caught rock fishes so I know there are fish down there but the FF doesn't detect any. It came with the 83/200 455/800 transducer. I'm not sure if there are settings that I didn't set right or something? Appreciate any help you got on this issue.

Try it on 83 and turn up the gain.

I usually go to slow trolling mode , then medium chirp and it works for me. Make sure your not in fresh water, shallow water option etc...

Yes try that, and turn sensitivity up until you start seeing what you want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I wonder what the difference is from fresh water to slow trolling settings. I actually normally run on freshwater and it works fine. As you can see in the chart below, the settings seem to be identical. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...3dd94d1bbb.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
