Hey John, you heading to LJ? I was looking at the wind/swells/surf and everything looks ok, so I'm wanting to go tomorrow too. Might do newport next week also. Text me if you want to roll together. If not, no offense taken😁. Cheers

Hey Mike, I went with Benny and Jaime last Saturday and it was tough because the current was ripping, so bring the heavy sinkers! We managed about 4-5 ok size reds, but tons of dinks. Maybe Benny got a few more. Let us know how it goes[emoji476] [emoji476]

I might do NPH this weekend, Saturday or Sunday, still not entirely sure. I'll look out for fellow yakkers!

I might go out of NPH on Sunday too; Looking for rockfish for the first time. I'll be in a grey Malibu Pro 2 Tandem, possibly alone, so good to know friends are gonna be about.

I accidentally caught a few jumbo macks while dropping squid down last week. There were some huge schools of macs suspended in the water column last week, so if it's the same, bring your bigger sibiki with a heavy sinker to avoid tangles. We were in 150-170' straight out past the buoy.

I'm bringing my 10-year-old son so between that and having a slow yak, don't wait up! I have a VHF and I'll monitor the usual 68-72 or whatever. See you out there.

I wish I had gone out on the yak on 9/11. I was on the CDM side jetty and hooked I to a 30 lb class yellowtail. I couldn't get it up onto the rocks. Finally bent the hook and lost it.
