Dana 10/2 bug report
 

Launched latearound 7PM, forgot my jacket and fish finder. A general disaster.
Soaked sets for 15-30 minutes each. All shorts. Got real choppy and foamy around 9 so headed back in.

At least you made a go at it. Thanks for the report.

Working on gearing up for my first Lobster expedition, so I will ask a Newbie question. Sounds like you were out of the harbor, are you allowed to hoop inside/any lobsters there? Looking at Google Maps, looks like not much room in there (I have never been to Dana Point)

I don't hoop but I've heard no hooping allowed in the DP harbor..

you heard correctly and confirmed by harbor patrol.
draw a line from the tip of the small jetty to the outer wall. Anything inside of the line is "inside" the harbor.
