Battle of the Bays TIPS...

Good Morning Anglers

I’ve got a few YouTube here videos that might help you with the CPR format of this tournament on Saturday…
This first one shows some examples on how to measure on the water…Be sure to watch the end, where the fish jumps off the board…LOL !

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/qyVLD_ImnOI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

These next two videos discuss and demonstrate the proper way to line your hawg trough…Remember this tourney will probably be won by 1/4”…If it’s difficult for the judges to see where your fish lies on the board they will always “round down” on the size…so the easier you make it for the judges to see the accurate size of your fish the better your chances of winning!

tip

My best tip is to put the hawg trough on the deck of the boat and that will help you in two ways...
First - if the fish flops off the board he'll land in the kayak instead of the water.
Second - your camera position will be further away from the fish.

Good Luck...!

Do we have to Google it. And what is the deadline for sending pictures I haven't had time to read through every detail. And how do you no fish were caught the day of the tournament.

time stamp

"What is the website we send pictures to for mission bay tournament...?"
You should go to the iAngler tournament site that you signed up at and scroll down to submit a catch or go to the app on your phone and "submit a catch" photo as you would during the tournament.

"And how do you no fish were caught the day of the tournament."?
Time Stamp on the photo... and...
We will give out a marker (that must be in the photos that you submit) when you check-in (which will be starting at 5:30am Saturday morning) along with your drawing ticket for the Cedros trip, your lunch wrist band and your t-shirt.

Deadline for photos submitted on the app is 1pm and if using a digital camera you must be in line at 1pm with your USB cable so I can upload your 3 best photos...

To speed things up in the judging, it is important that you edit your own photos to include only your three longest bass of any species.

I hope these answer your questions and that it helps.
See you Saturday

I'll continue to send some tips to the group email of those that have already registered...and again...I URGE YOU TO PRACTICE WITH THE APP...so you are familiar with the steps required on the water! Please watch the video links Iv'e sent out...;)
...Below are the video links I sent out this morning for those of you that don't check you email Mitchel..LOL!

There is a slight chance of rain on Saturday.

That should be fine, but any information on the swells?

Fish does not mind the rain, neither should we I would think.

Magic Seaweed says 3-5 foot at 9 seconds when we are paddling out, increasing to 4-6 foot as we head back in. Sunday it increases further to 5-8.
The way the jetties funnel and amplify swell at Mission Bay, going outside might get a little exciting - especially if the big displacement hull day cruisers are throwing cross wakes at you at the same time.
Better have a plan "B" to stay inside depending on reality...

My local news weather goddess said rain most likely on Sunday and Saturday is just cooling off and mostly cloudy.
