My wife and I are seriously thinking of relocating to New Zealand. Has anyone here ever fished the east coast of NZ, Northland? I assume that it is a great fishing destination, but first hand knowledge is the greatest! Besides, the MLPA is a little more reasonable there!;)

You might as well just come straight to Australia as most of the New Zealanders move here. To answer your question the fishing is excellent all over NZ.
