Question about Huntington Harbor
 
Can Kayaks leave the harbor out into the ocean from the harbor? I am interested in fishing the rigs about 1-2 miles offshore. But I was told you may not leave the harbor there without a registered motorized vessel.

Looking for something in writing saying as much.

Currently you can not paddle out of HH, Navy restricted area, they are currently opening up a new entry that will make that possible in the future.still a year or so off though.

Add a motor or sail on your kayak, register your kayak, get some CF numbers and you're good to go.
