Point Loma kelp?

Anyone have any luck this season for surface action on the Point Loma kelp, South of OB pier?

Me and my bro are headed out tomorrow early to do just that. Gonna try and get into some calico fun in the thick stuff.

We got out there around 7:15 through the MB boat channel.

Hook a few bonitos going past the OB pier.

Nada on the kelp.

Been having mixed luck this year...Seems that most the action has been in the pm on live bait for me.
