i am interested in putting lights on my yak for night fishing and hooping but am unsure as to what the regs are for that. do i need running lights or one of those sea lights that runs on AA batteries? thanks guys. Mark:lobster:

You are required to have a source of light. Headlamp, flashlight, lantern.

One of these 360 lights will make you WAAAAAY more visible to boaters...

I'd go buy a dive light also, for signaling boats. I like dive lights, because they are submersible.

Of course, a headlamp is also nice for hands free operating, when you are setting up hoops, etc.

i bought a little 12 dollar battery powered stern light for my boat from walmart works great on the yak i stuck a piece of pvc into one of my rear scuppers and slid the light into it works great and the pvc is long enough to hold the light above your head great for visibility.
