Transducer ???? for Hobie owner

Does anyone install the transducer right below the center hatch. Just wonder if the fin movement will be cause problem?

No problem, I set my wet mount ducer just under the seat. Works great!

I installed my wet mount right under the center hatch and it works fine.

Why put it directly under the center hatch? Seems like it would get in the way when stowing stuff. A transducer isn't something you mess with once it is properly installed. Since there is so little accessible space inside of the kayak, I would think out of the way is better (e.g., by the mast pole).

On my Outback I installed the through hull right at the mast tube, no problems:reeling: Used marine goop make sure that's where you want it, they are a bear to get off...

A lot of people mount in front or behind the sail mast- going through the front hatch. The fins are definately causing turbulence in the water and because of the opening for the drive- some of that is going to be in the form of air/ bubbles. Not sure if it's enough to effect the sonar, but why risk it..
