That vids old. Been examined and talked about for a long time. How about a shot of the Titanic going down if we're going back in time?
If I remember correctly you can read from the author first hand plus discussion over on the Hobie forum.

From his report, sounds like he started getting wind gusts in excess of 50mph (Although I don't see it). Also I think he made a mistake in riding parallel to those breaking waves/wind. Could have happened on any other kayak. Notice how he incorrectly shifts his weight to amplify the turn over.
Funny, when you look at how easy and low he was when he turned over you would think he had a lot of water in his hull from beforehand. Anyways, never heard or seen anyone else with this problem in the years after it was posted and discussed.
