Happy New Year!!! Baja or Bust is spending New Years in Gonzaga this year. Last year we did Asuncion it was a good trip. This year we will spend New Years in Gonzaga. We will leave San Diego on the early morning hours of 30 December and return on the 6th of Jan, 2015.
Chuck D, who bought my Hobie AI, suggested this trip. He is planning on fishing the Island, Isla San Luis, which is 5 miles off the beach infront of our place. I would think this should be an overnight trip spending the night on the island, maybe two nights. I have not heard about any kayaks fishing the island. Grouper, cabrilla, WSB, snapper are all residents of the island. I have caught Grouper over 200 lbs, and pargo over 25 pounds within a couple miles of the island. Room for at least 4 more anglers.
