Not that's a complicated procedure to tie a knot.
I used to tie a Bimini twist to join my lines. I hated that knot. It was a pain in my ass to tie!
Then I found a uni to uni and if you tie it correctly it works great.
I've only had it fail once which was this year when I hooked a YT that took me into a passing boats prop. It wouldn't have mattered what knot I used since there is no stopping a speeding 35 foot boat no matter how I tied that knot. Plus it was a ten year old knot to begin with
But other than that one time the uni to uni has been flawless for me so far "knock on wood"
I also use a little knot glue that I found at bass pro shops to cover the uni to uni and it helps give is strength and smooths it out so it passes thru the guides without the mono/flouro tag end going click click click on each cast
