Follow-up on WSB Release...

THANKS again to all that participated...!!!
I received this from Rich Ford at the Redondo WSB grow-out pools today…

We released 2773 fish on March 12. We had 2 morts on release. During the 5 months we had fish we lost 13 fish, most were culls or jumpers. . Hubbs and DFW had 75 for exam for release. We will get new fish around mid April.

Thanks to all that helped, volunteers, kayak people, and Yacht club people, was a long day but good one. The young girls did a great job.

And this from Mark at Hubbs….
Congrats on releasing a healthy group of lunker seabass!
In fact we do have a good idea about size-specific survivorship – we published a paper on that in 2010. By releasing fish larger than 8” (averaging about 12”), you tripled the expected post-release survival. Well done!
