Visibility is the key factor, here.

On a boater's perspective:
I couple of weeks ago i drove a boat from catalina to long beach about 26mph.
I was monitoring the GPS, trying to keep my stability while keeping the bow above the wakes, trying to make sure no kayakers were in front of me, and watching the instruments.
which is hard on a kayak, because the only thing that comes to mind is the yak attack flag folds while launching to keep visibility. |
