u used to be able to catch tuna decently close to shore
but not too much anymore... the only inshore tuna ur most likely to catch would be bonita.. for albacore, yellowfin or an ocasional bluefin run.. u would have to charter out offshore looking for floating strands of kelp birds or use sonar.. usually u might find them from 20 miles offshore up to 100 miles and more.. it all depends on season and luck
