As of March 1 2010 the regulation that requires you to wear your license above the waist is no longer in effect. You are just required to have it with you. I have always hated this regulation!
and never adhered to it
I liken kayaking to diving where it is not required. I was checked on the beach last time at LJ and pulled it out of my pelican case with no problems.
