I don't think that you should make much of the lack of response. I have not been to LJ in a couple of weeks and was skunked on that trip. When the forum is silent as it has been lately, it can mean that no one has had any luck or that there is a wide open bite. We have become a bit secretive recently.
I have no idea what the current conditions are. You might be all by yourself or there could be fifty yaks out there. Please post the results of your one-man one-lure tournament. I am sure that many would be interested.
