The date that matters is Sept 26, when the Fletcher / UASC / Coastside lawsuit will be heard in San Diego Superior Court. We win there, this Jan 1 date is almost certainly moot.
Also, remember the date set today was voted in by the same three politically motivated fools who approved it the South Coast closures in December, despite warnings of legal action. Those same people claimed the closures would start last April. We're still waiting.
