lots of advantages
couple of negatives . i tried the mad frog setup on my revo . of of the disadvantages is obviously kelp or grass can get hung up , and believe it or not , the drag created from the arm is noticeable . just my opinion . one great thing about being portable , you can quickly grab your unit , put it in your back pack , and hump it back to vehicle before someone fudges with your stuff .

Ya, I thought of kelp, grass, ect gettin caught on the down arm. The arm can rotate up or come all the way off in seconds with the push of a button. So , hopefully, clearing the transducer arm will be fast and easy and not involve removing the whole battery box assmbly. Mikeif
