Steering line
Okay, gotta redo the steering on the PA17, want to get something stronger then the one that it came with. Any suggestions?

Why don't you rig your own....
I don't own a hobie,. but I don't see why 500lb + 316 stainless wire rope won't work with copper crimps.
Or go heavy....just make sure the stainless is 316 and not 304. When I had a steering wheel on my canoe I used home depot plastic coated wire rope with clamps and plastic pulleys never had one problem.

Use stainless
Chafing clips instead of the fiber woven.
Check spec sheet get an OD on your cable and an ID on your crimp... Go one size over ![]()

I'd have to look at the existing string for the diameter, but how much for say 40 feet of the cable and a few crimps.
